SUNeVision Secures Shareholder Approval for Connected Transactions, Unveils Strong Growth Momentum at MEGA IDC

HONG KONG, 1 July 2026SUNeVision Holdings Ltd. (SEHK: 1686), Hong Kong’s largest data centre operator and the technology arm of Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP), has received independent shareholders’ approval for all ordinary resolutions relating to its continuing connected transactions during its Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) held on 30 June.

Beyond the resolutions, the meeting also provided investors with encouraging updates on the company’s business outlook, including a major customer commitment and the accelerated rollout of its flagship MEGA IDC development.

Major Customer to Boost MEGA IDC Occupancy

During the EGM’s question-and-answer session, management revealed that MEGA IDC Phase One has secured a substantial commitment from a major single customer, reinforcing continued demand for high-quality data centre capacity in Hong Kong.

The customer is expected to begin moving into the facility toward the end of 2026. Once the deployment is fully completed, occupancy at MEGA IDC Phase One is projected to increase significantly from the current 30% to approximately 70%, marking a major milestone for the facility.

Management also disclosed that discussions with additional prospective customers remain active, with strong interest focused on the remaining two floors of Phase One. The company believes the rapid expansion of artificial intelligence (AI) applications and cloud computing infrastructure across Asia continues to drive demand for premium data centre services.

Expansion Plans Accelerated

To accommodate growing customer demand, SUNeVision announced that development of MEGA IDC Phases Two and Three is being accelerated.

The company is targeting the commencement of operations for both new phases by 2028, allowing it to expand capacity more quickly and strengthen its ability to serve enterprise, cloud, and AI-driven customers.

Positive Long-Term Outlook

SUNeVision reaffirmed its confidence in the long-term growth prospects of Hong Kong’s premium data centre industry.

The company believes its combination of advanced infrastructure, scalable capacity, and one of Asia’s most connected digital ecosystems positions it well to benefit from structural growth in AI, cloud services, and digital transformation while delivering sustainable value to shareholders.
